Nspa products rave and review:

Whilst doing my regular shop in ASDA recently, i picked up a few products that were on offer in the skincare section these included some of the nspa products.
I got all of these products for £2 each (usual RRP shown with product).

I was drawn to these because they were on special offer and I'm a sucker for sleek packaging!!

The skincare range is a 3 step system:

Step 1 - Shower/Body Wash

Step 2 - Body Polish

Step 3 - Body Lotion/Butter

They have then numbers on the front which indicates which step it is. I picked up 3 products which were Step 2 and 3:

As you can see the packaging is clean and sleek, they look like Spa products but at Supermarket prices.

nspa Jojoba and White Jasmine Body Polish - Step 2:

£2.95

This smells absolutely divine, i couldn't wait to try this out.

I used this pre spray tan to make sure my skin was soft and smooth and it certainly did the trick!! I felt like i was using a high end product.

nspa Jojoba and White Jasmine Body Lotion - Step 3:
£3.95

This is my favourite product from their selection. I love how light it is.

I use this every morning and so many people have asked me what perfume i have on! It smells amazing, my skin has never looked better too and i have only been using if for a couple of weeks. I picked up 3 of these to stock up!!

nspa Jojoba and White Vanilla Body Butter - Step 3:
£3.95

This Body butter is really luxurious and very moisturising.

I use this at night after a shower/bath. It has an amazing scent again with a hint of vanilla. My skin looks so lovely and smooth after using this.

I am a complete nspa convert and love how you can pick this up at your local Asda!!

You can also pick these up in travel size - perfect for holidays and trips away!!!

I have heard they are now including skincare in their range so i will definitely be checking that out!!

Has anyone else tried the range? If so what did you think?

Carmine Beauty Box Review:

I decided to include the Carmine Box as part of my Monthly Beauty Box reviews. This was the February Box but I received my box in March along with my She Said Beauty Box and my GLOSSYBOX. I have tried and tested these products and here's what i received:

Carmine Beauty Box:

This box is £10 per month plus p&p if you choose the pay monthly option - which again can be cancelled at anytime.

I had heard rave reviews about this box so was very excited when it arrived!!

Inside the Box:

I received 5 luxury samples plus a Yardley perfume sample. The box included:

Diego Dalla Palma Il Rossetto The Lipstick in shade 32:

I was so excited to see a lipstick in my box! I love the shade too - it is a rose/coral colour which glides on lovely. I have been to my local Tesco Extra (where they sell Diego Dalla Palma products) and looked at their other cosmetic items. The range is lovely so i may purchase something on my next payday!!

White Glo whitening toothpaste:

Apparently this was formulated for use on Actors and models etc. Which instantly made me want to try it!! My teeth are quite white anyway so i didn't notice a major difference. I generally use a whitening toothpaste so was chuffed to try this out.

Andrea Fullerton Nail Varnish in Paris:

This is a fab vibrant shade - looks a little bit fuchsia in the picture but is probably more of a deep pink. I have used Andrea Fullerton products before and was really impressed!! You only need one coat and your ready to go - it is fast drying and very pigmented!

The Balm Frat Boy Shadow Blush:

This was my favourite addition to the box!! I was so chuffed to see a full size blusher and the shade was so wearable. I have never used any of The Balm products before as i found they were out of my price range. The best bit - it goes so well with lipstick i received!!You can use this as an eye shadow too but i wouldn't use this shade for anything other than a blusher. Its the kind of colour that suits everybody - coral/rose. Fab product!!!

Daniel Sandler Eye Delight:

This was also a major bonus as i have never used Daniel Sandler products before - although i have my eye on the Watercolour Blush!! This isn't a product i would use daily but for special occasions would be lovely as a highlighter or on the inner corner of your eye. I may use this on my sisters wedding day for this purpose. Great product and highly pigmented.

Overall i was extremely pleased with my Carmine Box, All the products in the box are something i would use. This was by far my favourite Beauty Box so far!!

However....

I received an email yesterday which said:

Carmine and GLOSSYBOX have joined forces! Carmine has decided to pass on its services to the expertise of GLOSSYBOX to offer you a top-notch beauty box.

So there you have it - Carmine Monthly Beauty Boxes are no more :( I am gutted but hopes this means Glossy Box will have even better boxes!

Has anyone else subscribed to Carmine?

Are you pleased/gutted they have rendered their services to GLOSSYBOX?

She Said Beauty Box Review:

A while ago I decided to try out a few different Beauty Boxes including the one that has been discontinued from Feel Unique (which i did like!!).

My plan is to give them a try and decide which one to keep investing in. I subscribed to the She Said Beauty Box which was £9.00 plus p&p but i received 25% off as a new customer.

 Here's what i received:

This Beauty Box is £9.00 per month if you pick the Pay Monthly option - which you can can cancel at any time.

I waited quite a while for this to arrive - I'm not sure if it was because of the date i ordered it, but when it came i don't quite think it was worth the wait.

Don't get me wrong its not that the contents were really bad just not the kind of products that made me want to invest in this every month.

Inside the box:

There were 6 items in total including:

Flowering Dragon Eye Tea - JING Tea:

A Flowering Tea? Not something i expected in my Beauty Box. I don't see why they included it but i suppose it was an added extra?? I tried it anyway and it just tasted like Green Tea which i drink regularly anyway.

Renight Recover Cream - Comfort Zone:

I have used this every night for two weeks and have finished the product. I can't say i have noticed a difference - initially i thought it was cream to help you sleep - that would have been good!!! Ha! I guess i wont be purchasing this but it was something new to try which i like doing.

Harmony Face Balm - Premae Skincare :

I loved the herbal smell of this skin balm, but there's something i usually don't like about putting balm like products on my face - they usually feel too greasy. This one wasn't greasy - it didn't sit on my skin - it felt lovely and light - i have enjoyed using this and still have some left. I don't think it has made a huge difference to my skin so probably wont purchase this.

Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo, Conditioner and Style-Prep Smoother:

I have used this shampoo and conditioner before and liked them so i was happy to see them in my box - i tend to keep these size products for travelling - so i haven't used them up. The Style-Prep Smoother does smooth my hair and tames my frizz so may purchase this, although for £18.50 i can find similar products for cheaper.

ORLY Manicure Miniatures in Black out and Black Board Nail File:

This was also a nice surprise - i love a new nail varnish to try - a bit gutted about the colour (would have preferred a brighter colour for Spring). Nevertheless ill always need a black. I have had Orly nail products before but felt this needed a couple of coats to get true black.

Collection 2000 - Cream Puff in Cotton Candy:

This was by far my favourite product in my box, i loved this lip cream. I would never have picked this up so i am very pleased She Said Beauty included it in their box!! I am going to pick up the rest of the colours soon - they are a bargain for £2.99. Fab Product, a nice change from a gloss.

Overall, i was quite pleased with my box but felt if it didn't include the Cream Puff i would have been less pleased. I am undecided on whether to continue my subscription, I may see what the next box brings then make me decision.

Designer Outlet: Beauty, fashion and snack haul....

During my busy two weeks i also took a trip to my nearest Designer Outlet, which is Cheshire Oaks.

I went there with Wes, my Boyfriend. The visit was mainly for Wesley to pick up some new jeans...he came home with not much but a full stomach after Fish and Chips and sugared Doughnuts!! I was slightly hung over after my Sister's Hen Party in Manchester, retail therapy is always the best hangover cure!!
I'm quite lucky because My boyfriend, Wes, is the type of guy who doesn't mind shopping and even helps me pick out stuff!! He's a Keeper!! ;)

I have been to Cheshire Oaks loads of times and i always manage to grab a Beauty Bargain there. I was so chuffed when i got there and they had opened a Body Shop!! Yey!! The discounts were great!! The shop Assistant also informed me they were getting a Wagamama's too....can't wait for that!!! I heart Wagamama's!!!

So here's what i purchased.....

First stop was The Body Shop, like i said there was some great reductions on their products. I bought three products which was 30% off (it was a further 10% of if you had a Body Shop card). I bought a new Shea Lip Butter (RRP £4.00) I got mine for £2.80.

I also picked up a Delipscious Tinted Lip Balm it doesn't say the shade on the product but it is a gorgeous pastel pink - perfect for spring!!

I keep trying new lip products in the hope they will help my dry lips, I'm pretty obsessed!! The texture is lovely and it has a lovely shimmery sheen to it. This was (RRP £4.00) but again i got this for £2.80.

Lastly at The Body Shop i picked up a single eye shadow in Golden Paprika Shade 08 (RRP £8.00) this was reduced to £5.60 which is ok but i wouldn't pay the £8.00 for this as it is quite small.

I love this colour, it has a really rich copper tone to it. It is very pigmented so you don't need a lot, Looks gorgeous on!!

Next stop was Claire's Accessories where i purposely went to look for a fascinator, i bought one last time i was there. This was also 30% off High Street Prices. I picked up an Ivory fascinator and a Champagne clutch bag both for £13.00 which i was very happy with! (picture at top of page).

I stopped at the Holland and Barrett Outlet Shop which was buy one get one half price on everything. I'm not sure of the difference in High Street Prices here but i am a regular shopper here anyway. I picked up some tea, my choice was Apple and Cinnamon, i also bought some yogurt covered raisins and Cranberries which i am obsessed with at the moment, i cant get enough of them!! I also picked up some mints (below) which i buy at my local Holland and Barrett's quite often.

My favourite shop in the Outlet is The Cosmetics Company Store, this is a beauty lovers Haven!!! I always manage to pick up a bargain here.

They sell high end cosmetic products such as, MAC, BOBBI BROWN, ESTEE LAUDER and CLINIQUE. I always head straight for MAC, they usually have the Limited Edition products in store such as last time i went they had the Wonder Woman range which was sold out in stores and counters.

I picked up a MAC Big Bounce eyeshadow in 'Up The Anti.'

This is a gorgeous creamy eyeshadow which has a sultry golden shimmer to it. I have used this on a night out and received compliments on the colour. I apply this using my finger as i find it blends easier and looks great with just black eyeliner or complimented with similar tones. I got this for £9.50 RRP (£13.50).

I also bought a MAC Lip Pencil in 'Naked Liner.'

I have been after a nude lip liner for a while, i also love this because it Can double up as a nude eyeliner. Love a multi-use product!! The pigment is lovely, it has a slight pinkness to it, great for the spring/summer with all the pastel colours that are in. I got this for £7.50 RRP (£10.50).

I found a lovely MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in 'Of Royalty'.

Again i have gone for a pastel colour. I am in love with this baby pink colour. I have a few MAC lipsticks and this will go nicely with my growing collection. This is very complimentary and really stands out, it has a slight sheen to it which i love as it glides easily onto the lips. Looks lovely with a nude/clear lipgloss too! I got this for £9.50 RRP (£13.50).

A complete contrast in Lip colours here: i picked up a MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in 'Good To Go'.

I was instantly in love with this tomato coloured lipstick, this is the silkiest and most vibrant orange/red lipstick and it looks amazing - very glamorous! It glides on your lips and feels so light. I cant wait to wear this on a night out. I haven't had one of these before so would like to test the longevity of this. I got this for £11.50 RRP (£16.50).

I also bought one product from BOBBI BROWN. This was the corrector in Light Peach.

I had this on my makeup want list so was so glad they had this in stock!! I have had this before so know this is a fab product!! I am doing my sisters makeup for her wedding so will use this under her eyes to hide any stress/tiredness under her eyes before using a concealer. I got this for £11.00 RRP (£17.00).

Lastly in this store i purchased another Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Pebble.

I usually pick this up here as i always have this foundation to hand. It is my 'failsafe' foundation. This foundation has great coverage and longevity. I have worn this on night out and i swear it is sweat proof!! I love it so try and replace it when i go here. I got this for £18.75 RRP (£26.50).

So i grabbed a few bargains at that store, i always do. The only downside is there isn't much choice of shades especially at MAC. But you can usually pick up a few limited edition or discontinued items there which is a bonus!

Last shop we went in was Next. Wes managed to pick up a few T-Shirts and shorts and i picked up a nude coloured dress (picture at top of page) for £14. It is a really light jersey dress which you can dress up or down. I wore it with black tights and shoe boots. I love the lace detail and pleated girly skirt. I wore this to My Sister in Law' s Baby shower and had a few compliments!

All in all it was a successful shopping trip! Well, for me!!

Where does everyone else shop for their Beauty Bargains?

Looking forward to going again and dining at Wagamama's!!

PS: If you sign up online to the Designer Outlet link here: http://www.cheshireoaksdesigneroutlet.com/
You can save an extra 10% in some stores, all you need to do is take the print out to the Information desk and they will issue you a card with a list of all the stores that partake in the offer, Happy Shopping!!!

LUSH.....Tasty treats!!!

Wow!! I have had a very busy two weeks, i haven't had a spare minute to update my Blog, so lots of stuff to catch up on!

I visited the Trafford Centre last week purely to swap some shoes for my Sister's Wedding but couldn't resist the luring smell of LUSH!!

I wanted to purchase another Cupcake Face Mask 75g (£5.75) which i have used before with great results, I find this mask works best for me after i have showered or had a bath - i suffer from spots around my mouth and chin and this mask seems to clear up my spots and blemishes without drying my face.

The ingredients consist of: Rhassoul Mud, Linseed infusion, Cocoa powder and Cocoa Butter etc - this mask is like chocolate pudding!! I must admit it is hard to resist a taste!!

You have to keep the mask in the fridge, it should last for about 5 weeks (used twice a week) Remember the ingredients are active so this product wont keep for a long time.

I also picked up a couple of products i hadn't tried before, one of them was the Tea Tree Toner 100g (£3.75). I had seen this before and had read a few reviews on this before purchasing. I must say i am impressed! This is really refreshing. I use this after cleansing am and pm and also spritz it on my face throughout the day.

It claims to break down excess sebum and bacteria that cause spots - my skin is definitely clearer so it may be a happy coincidence or down to the natural goodness of the mask and the toner.Whatever it is i will definitely be re purchasing this product.

Lastly i bought the Bubblegum Lip Scrub 25g (£4.95) which I'd had my eye on for a while, i have to say i think this is my favourite LUSH buy.

This tastes amazing!! Just like Bubblegum and Candy floss!!! I love it!!! I really suffer with dry cracked lips - no matter how much lip balm i use i cannot prevent this.

The sugar scrub has definitely helped with my problem, i think i am going to try the Sweet Lips Sugar Scrub next time which is chocolate and vanilla flavour (might help me stop snacking!!).

Be warned these tasty products are highly addictive!!!!

Have any of you guys been loving any LUSH products or can recommend any?

Can anyone recommend a product that prevents dry, cracked lips that actually works?

I'm off to put chocolate pudding on my face....

My 'Faveys'........(at the moment)

Hi Makeup and Beauty lovers, I thought my second Blog should be about what my 'Go to' products are at the moment. I'm saying (at the moment) because i change it up every other day!!

I don't stick to these products all the time, but I'd say for the majority of the week they are always at hand.

Some i have replaced time and time again and some are newbies, so here goes...........

So usually to start off after cleansing, I apply a light moisturiser, this being either: Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Shine Control Day Moisturiser or Johnson's Facecare: Oil Balancing Light Day Fluid. Both of these moisturisers are light and help balance my combination skin. They are also cheap too (around £2-£3). This gives me a 'matte' base to control my oily patches. I then apply Garnier's Youthful Radiance Caffeine Eye Roll-on under my eyes to make me feel more awake - i swear it works!!!

Next i would apply the newly discovered Kiko Cosmetics Mat Base Corrector Primer - this again helps as a base to control oil. I don't always use this, i usually use it for a night out when i want my makeup to last!! I used to use Urban Decay's De Slick in a tube (£18 for 20ml) but this is much cheaper at £8.90 for 25ml!! It pretty much an exact dupe!! http://www.kikocosmetics.com

I usually use a primer every day and i have two favourites at the moments which are, Mac's Matte Primer (£14) and Smashbox Photofinish Primer (I got this at Duty Free so paid £22 for a 15ml and a 30ml. Usually its quite a bit more than that.

My 'Holy Grail' foundation has to be Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua (£31), i love the finish of this foundation and its lasts for hours and hours!! I got mine at Boots when i had enough points on my card to buy it!!! My shade is B20 Beige Tendre which is fairly light for me, but when it is summer i will probably go up a shade or two. Love that it has SPF 15 too!!

I have also been loving Avon's Ideal Flawless Foundation in Natural Beige - this is FAB and is on offer at the moment for £10!! (usual price £12) which is pretty cheap in comparison to other high end foundations. I have also heard the concealer and powder are good too so might also try those. This has a lovely finish and lasts just as long as my Chanel foundation. My mum is an Avon Rep so i got this for free (Thanks Mum!!)

To apply my foundation i have been using Samantha Chapman's - Real Techniques Buffing Brush - this is one of the product of Sam from Pixiwoo - who are a major inspiration for me!! The brush gives a flawless, even look and blends foundation like no other brush. I also use ELF's Stipple Brush - this too blends my foundation really well and is a real bargain at just £3.50!!

I use Kiko cosmetics Full coverage concealer in shade 02 (£7.50). This is up there with the best, i am so glad i took a chance on this brand - there makeup is such high quality. If you are a new customer they offer free delivery!! It blends amazingly and doesn't budge!! Highly recommended for use on blemishes and also under eyes.

I use Mac's Studio Fix Powder in NC 25/30 to seal my makeup - i find it helps my makeup last longer. I regularly use this throughout the day with a powder puff. I also love ELF's High Definition powder (£6) I got this when it was 30% off so was a bargain - it lasts ages too!!! Its a dupe with Makeup Forever's HD powder.

I love a bronzer and have tried loads, recently i have purchased the famous Chanel Bronze Universal - i got this at £19 instead of £29 because i had £10 on my Debenhams Beauty Reward Card. I love this as it blends like a dream and doesn't have that 'muddy' look sometimes bronzers can create. I think it will last me into summer too - i want to try it out in the heat and test its resistance. The powder bronzer i usually use day to day is the W7 Honolulu Bronzer which is only £2.95 on line from http://www.thecosmetichouse.co.uk This bronzer is matte and has no glitter in it so is great for contouring too. I usually stock up on 2 or 3 which still comes to under £9 - Loving the bargains!!!

I have loads of favey blushers but the one I'm using at the moment is Topshop's Powder Blush in Pop £6 (i think) - its a pinky coral shade which is very pigmented, i also love Kiko Cosmetics Soft Touch Blush in Orange Coral which at the moment is only £3.90!!! I usually go for Coral shades or a pretty pink. I also use a highlighter to make my cheekbones stand out i go for Mac's Cream Colour Base in Shell which i also use on my brow bone, down the centre of my nose and on my Cupid's bow to add extra depth and to highlight these features.

For eye makeup i usually use my Urban Decay Naked Palette or Naked Palette 2 - i just love the neutral shades an how you can mix them up. My favourite shades are: Sin, Toasted and Darkhorse (Naked) Chopper, verve, Busted and Blackout (Naked 2). The fluffy brush in the naked 2 palette is great for blending too. I also use Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eyeshadow in Flexi Brown for my crease or for the outer corners of my eyes. I have bought this eyeshadow again and again because the shade accent my blue eyes. You can pick this up from http://www.cosmetic-kingdom.co.uk for just 49p - YES!!! 49p - this is for the palette pan only so doesn't include brush - which i don't really use anyway!!!  I also use Superdrug's own brand MUA's Eyeshadow in shade 16 as a base and to highlight my brow bone, this is great for highlighting cheekbones and down the centre of your nose - the best thing is all the eye shadows are just £1 - yippee!!

I use Collection 2000's Clear Mascara (£2.99) to keep my brows at bay - along with Benefits Silky Powder Eyeshadow in the shade Bossy to fill them in, you can get this eyeshadow cheaper at http://www.cosmetic-kingdom.co.uk for £3.99.

For eyeliner i love Mac's Penultimate Eye Liner to line my lid and Mac's Technakhol Pencil in Graphblack for my waterline. I have also recently discovered NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils - i have two in the shades Milk and French Fries these are lovely and blend amazingly!! I will definitely be purchasing more of those - i got mine from http://www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk for £4.50.

My mascara always used to be Loreal's Telescopic in Carbon Black but i recently purchased their new version: Falsh Lash Telescopic Mascara in Magnetic Black - this is even better!! My lashes go on forever when i use this and there is no clumpiness!!!

Lastly my favourite lip products are 17's Mirror Shine Lipstick in Beehive - this is a nude creamy lipstick that feels like a lip balm, it feels so conditioning when i apply it. There is a great range of shades too in their collection. I also wouldn't be without Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in shade 02 - i got this at Duty Free too - so it was two of them for £13!!

Phew!!! Sorry i went on a bit but wanted to add a little review too and prices where i could. So does anyone else use any of these products?? Or tried any of these? What is your opinion if so??

Hope this appeals to you makeup lovers out there!!!

Final thought: Who doesn't love a beauty bargain?

Kelli

xoxo
